MIDNIGHT CHAMBER – CHAMBRE MINUIT
In an abandoned room, completely covered in black, a woman is imprisoned and forced to relive her past, lost hopes and broken dreams. Out of this darkness will emerge a concerto of memories and hidden desires. As if haunted, the woman unleashes her music amongst which hints of the opera “Carmen” and the “Dies Irae”. Gradually, through her body and the objects that make up her surreal world, its history and its secrets are revealed. From inside her, emerging voices and memories of famous women of the French art scene of old, coming out of the shadows to whisper her story, an existential cry that can not be silenced. The visual language is that of illusion and deception creating a bubble in which sight, sound, time and spacial dimensions are deconstructed and recomposed. Concert violin, object theater and visual theater, opera and puppet then collide and merge, struggling in the woman’s tormented mind.
